Main Screen/Events Window

The PyroGuard Software is designed to extend the functions of the PyroGuard CXL control console using an external PC unit. With the software and an external PC you can control all functions of the console remotely utilizing an enhanced interface. Operations such as alarm resets, console testing, event recording and overall monitoring of the console can be accomplished from the PC.  With the software the PC can be installed up to 100 ft from the main control console. With short haul modems the PC can be installed up to three miles from the control console.  Short haul modems are supplied by Clarke's. These pages feature a first look at what the all new PyroGuard Windows Software has in store. Scheduled for release summer 2001.

Review Events Window

The Review Events Window allows you to view current and past events stored in the PyroGuard Software.  Alarm conditions (displayed in red), Trouble Conditions (displayed in yellow) and general console events can all be viewed in an easy to use Windows interface.  The newly enhanced Event Masking feature lets you mask out events of your choice, displaying only the events you want to see.  Unlimited event storage is possible with the PyroGuard software, allowing you to save events from day one of your consoles operation.

Create A Report Window

Does the plant or maintenance supervisor need a report generated listing all the PyroGuard events that occurred during a certain time frame? With the new PyroGuard Software, creating reports is easier then ever.  Simply open up the user friendly Window and select the start and end time along with which events and Zones you want included in the report and let the Software handle the rest.  An easy to understand calendar is displayed showing you the date range selected. You have the choice of saving the report as a text file to your computers hard drive or removable disk or print it out for easy viewing.

Manual Testing Window

To help with the routine maintenance of your PyroGuard CXL Console a Manual Testing Window is included in the PyroGuard Software. The capability of testing the functionality of Sensors, Valves, IO Relay Outputs and Summation Relay Outputs is combined into this easy to use Windows interface. Test Sensors one at a time or let the software do the work for you by testing every sensor on your system all at the same time.  Select the Valve Tab and instantly the Valve Testing Window appears with simple pull down menus and buttons to set up your desired valve testing options. IO Relay and Summation Relay outputs are tested much the same way as the sensors and valves, just select the IO Relay Tab or the Summation Tab and a Window will appear with all the options.

Console Control Window

With the Console Control Window, you have the control over key functions of your PyroGuard CXL console. If manual testing of the sensors is too time consuming, let the PyroGuard Software do the testing for you.  Using the enhanced Console Control Window, set up the software to automatically test sensors, program relays to energize on a selected day and time and choose which programmable relays you want to have energize when a specified Zone is disabled.

Disabled Zones Window

One of the most popular features on the PyroGuard CXL consoles is the ability to disarm an entire IO Card or disable individual Zones rendering them inactive. This makes it easy for plant personnel to do routine maintenance and inspections. Now with the new PyroGuard Software a graphical interface has been created allowing you to monitor which IO Cards have been disarmed and which Zones have been disabled from the comfort of your computer chair.  The Window displays the same LED read out that is visible from the front of the CXL console and lets you choose which rack you want to view with an easy to use pull down menu. LEDs that are illuminated indicate a disabled Zone, LEDs that are flashing indicate a disarmed card.
